Ingredients: Organic Matcha green tea powder (100%)
Product weight: 30g
Specially selected by our tea master, Nagata-san, to commemorate our 30th anniversary. Okumidori, meaning ‘deepest green’, is a superior, artisanal Matcha from Wazuka, in Uji, Kyoto, a place steeped in eight centuries of matcha history.
Of all the tea fields in Japan, fewer than 5% are dedicated to growing Okumidori Matcha, which makes it so valuable. Stone-ground using the freshest and youngest tea leaves from the year’s first harvest, it has a naturally smoother taste, whilst delivering a rich umami flavour.
We’d love to invite you to join us in celebrating 30 years of Clearspring with this Limited Edition Okumidori Matcha.
We are very proud to be working with Made In Hackney - our official charity partner for our 30 year anniversary and as part of this collaboration, for every pack of Okumidori Matcha sold, we will donate £1 to this amazing charity.
Made In Hackney is a vegan community cookery school and charity working across London and the UK inspiring communities to grow, cook and eat more plants. They deliver life changing cookery and food growing classes to community groups most in need and provide emergency food support to households in crisis.

The traditional Japanese tea ceremony dates back 900 years to feudal times. It can take up to 3 hours and is steeped in history, is full of theatre and is incredibly calming. If you would like to make Matcha emulating the essence and spirit of the traditional tea ceremony you can do so in less than 3 minutes but you will need a bowl, a bamboo tea scoop and a bamboo matcha whisk.
The best matcha i ever tried. The taste is without any solid notes which makes it very smooth compared to any other matcha, almost no bitterness at all
A very nice matcha that has little bitterness compared with others, with a lovey deep matcha flavour and rich green colour. Comes in a lovely black tin.
The okumidori matcha is less bitter so I do prefer it to the regular matcha you sell.
One of the best Matcha I’ve tried! Really nice with just warm water whisked in a bowl. I love the smell it produces when whisking.
