Milled from organic Italian brown rice, Clearspring Brown Rice Flour contains all the nutrients of the whole grain with only the inedible part of the husk removed during the milling process. This finely ground, light ‘all purpose’ substitute to wheat flour should be an essential ingredient in any gluten free kitchen.

    The flour is well-milled but, in my opinion, flour should never be sold sealed in plastic. And never is normally.

    Brown rice flour

    I use this flour to make a sourdough starter for gluten free bread. It works very well and gives the bread a nice flavour.

    Good Quality

    This is a good quality rice flour ...if a little expensive! Works well when combined with other GF flours (e.g. oat or quinoa). The ready to but GF flours have TOO many added ingredients and are too reliant on potato starch. For a nice breakfast pancake I make a flour mix of equal parts rice flour, oat flour and quinoa flour. Add a little raising agent and then use like normal flour.
