    Why they cannot be called jams

    Jams are required by law to have a minimum overall sugar content, so when fruit juice is used as an ingredient, instead of sugar, the overall sugar content (and the calories) are reduced. Thus the term 'jam' can no longer be used.

Cherry Fruit Spread

I was asked to review this but can only give my wife's opinion as I never eat fruit spreads or jams. Unfortunately she was not very impressed with this one saying it lacked taste and didn't really have much (if any) cherry flavor. Overall disappointing

I like it. I think it must have a very high apple juice content as it is sweet. Perhaps too much?

We do like this spread, but it is not a patch on the previous cherry spread from france

Disastrous new recipe

Just a sweet sticky stodgy mess! Fruit taste is overtaken by the sweetness, random bit of cherries and so thick and sticky it does not spread.
Why change a perfectly fine produce....
