This simple but classic Basilico pasta sauce is produced directly on a farm in Italy since 1990, using freshly harvested 100% Demeter sun-ripened tomatoes.
Top quality, fresh organic ingredients guarantee the genuine and homemade flavour. Even the extra virgin olive oil that serves as the base for our recipes is carefully selected from a special Demeter estate.
Since 1927, Demeter has been the trademark for products from certified biodynamic production, a method of organic farming originally developed by Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner. He introduced the idea of a holistic farming system based around the phases of the moon, composting and mixing crops with livestock.
Key features of Demeter farming: The avoidance of synthetic fertilisers - The use of manures and composts - Frequent crop rotations - Avoidance of chemical soil treatments - Measures to strengthen the life processes in the soil - Consideration of celestial and terrestrial influence.

I like to have a couple of these sauces on hand for lazy days. Stir through some pasta of your choice or polenta.
Topped with some fresh basil, rocket and chopped olives. Great for summertime.
This pasta sauce is as delicious as any we've tried! And it tastes even better knowing it was farmed and produced in a regenerative, sustainable manner. 5 Star product!
No nasties - only what you’d put in yourself into your own tomato sauce! That is a rare thing in the jarred sauces! Sometimes it’s nice not to have to make it yourself. I used it to make roasted vegetable lasagna and saved me a lot of time. Will buy again to make vegetable moussaka. Please continue making!
All these sauces are delicious. Thank you.
It was exciting to come across a line of tomato sauce which I believe I can trust to be ripened naturally, and the taste is ..... words fail me!
