Umami Ginger Bean Pate

Umami Ginger Bean Pate

A delicious, quick and easy pate flavoured with the incredibly versatile ginger umami paste. Takes just 10 minutes to prepare plus chilling time and lasts for several days if chilled. Enjoy with bread, rice cakes or a mouth watering array of fresh vegetable crudities.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, minced,
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Clearspring Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 regular can organic cannellini or white beans
  • ¼ cup sun dried tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tbsp Umami Paste with Ginger

Method

  1. Fry the onion and garlic in one tbsp. oil for a couple of minutes.
  2. Transfer to a mixing bowl, drain and rinse the beans and add to the bowl.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and using a hand blender, blend to a cream. Serve with Clearspring Rice Crackers or Oatcakes.
