How to Use

What is Matcha?

Matcha SenchaMatcha is finely ground green tea leaf powder and is the most prized amongst Japanese teas. It has been drunk as part of the tea ceremony for 900 years as well as by Buddhist monks during long days of meditation.

This very concentrated form of green tea is drunk as a fine powder diffused in liquid so you actually ingest the whole leaf, consuming every last bit of goodness.

My daughter who lives in London, travelled back to Wales to visit us and brought a box of matcha. We tried them even took them to work. I can say I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. Its not as harsh as I thought. Its much more pallatable than others I bought. Really happy with the product.

Hooked!

I love green tea and drink a lot of it. This one is very good and I always take a few with me when I'm out. Recommend brewing for c.3 mins at 80℃. Teabag can be used twice to extract maximum catechins. Eating mandarins at the same time apparently allows the catechins (EGCG especially) to be absorbed more easily (according to Japanese research). I would like to know the caffeine content of this tea blend please.

This is my go tea of choice. I drink at least one cup every day, sometimes several more.
It is a very refreshing drink and can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
