The Miso is 100% organic, non-GM, fermented, live, unpasteurised and suitable for vegans. It is made using the same traditional Japanese methods as our flagship Organic Brown Rice Miso, by a third-generation family producer in Japan's Nagano prefecture. Available in a 150g glass jar, it delivers a smooth, rich flavour that perfectly balances the nutty-sweet flavour of chickpeas with the umami-rich flavour of traditional miso. It is also incredibly versatile. It can be used to make miso soup, stews, casseroles, dressings or used as a seasoning or glaze.

I tried this miso because suddenly I can't eat the soya based ones any more. Not allowed. But I love miso so I was delighted to find this product- affordable and actually very tasty so a good option and I dont have to stop drinking miso soup. Thank you Clearspring!
This new chickpea miso is delicious, soft and savory... and it's great to have expanded variety!
It reminded me of a chunky white rustic miso. Subtly sweet. Lovely stirred into rice or even spread on toast. Actually, I could even eat it off the spoon. (Okay, I did.) It hits the savoury spot.
Very satisfying mellow flavour. Can be used instead of white miso.
