Very handy

I find these dried soya chunks really handy as you can just prepare the amount you need rather than always having to open a full pack of tofu. It's also great that they are gluten free, as some protein chunks I have looked at aren't. I bought some vegan bacon seasoning elsewhere and have used it to sprinkle on the soya chunks, and I then fried them to make 'bacon' pieces, which I have been enjoying.

Bite size pieces with a good texture

Bite size pieces with a good texture. Never had a bag with odd sizes or loads of soy dust in the bottom.
Evenly sized pieces that expand easily by pouring over boiling water and leaving them to soak for 10 minutes while you prepare your veg. Unlike soya mince you don't need to worry about adding too much water. Just drain them before using.
They have very little flavour, so no bitterness of soy, but they absorb spice flavours very well. I just throw them into my curry when I add the tomatoes or stock
They don't go soggy, so when you chew them they don't release boiling hot liquid in your mouth.
I regularly reheat the leftovers next day and they still don't go soggy.
If you haven't tried Clearspring soya mince that's also excellent, particularly in chilli and vegetarian shepherds pie

Best soy meat!

I cooked Japanese style fried chicken. Lovely texture and I can taste the good quality.

so versatile

The best vegan meat substitute I've found and I've been looking for many years. I flavour them with various stocks and herbs when rehydrating, depending on the dish. They always add a welcome texture.
