Enjoy the umami-rich taste of naturally fermented Japanese miso, combined with the warm flavours of ginger and turmeric in Clearspring’s Organic Instant Miso Soup Paste. Just add hot water and enjoy.

A nicely judged balance of flavours produces a most welcome, warming experience. Highly recommended.
sadly this wasn't my taste at all. I like miso soup and I love ginger so I thought this would be very convenient, but I didn't enjoy it at all. It might be a marmite thing though ( you either hate it or love it), There's nothing wrong with the product and if you enjoy it, it would be very convenient, just not for me
The smells of ginger and turmeric coming from the bowl are great, but unfortunately this soup doesn't really taste of either. It leaves an odd musty aftertaste, and is surprisingly bland. I eat Clearspring miso every morning with my breakfast rice porridge, but couldn't really taste the miso in this soup, which I wouldn't describe as umami-rich. As with the other soups in this range, its packaging as paste in sachets uses a lot of plastic. Since the soup doesn't taste fresh, I wonder if packaging it as a powder in a jar would be possible. It would allow consumers to decide how strong to make it, and avoid creating more plastic pollution.
Hi Elisabeth, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your feedback is appreciated and will be passed on to the relevant department. Perhaps our unpasteurised miso pastes in jars would be more to your liking?
I find it a bit salty but still good taste.
Light yet substantial, very tasty instant soup. A firm favourite to banish the winter blues!
