Clearspring Kuwa Matcha is made from the finest quality organic mulberry leaves, grown in Kagoshima, Japan. The leaves are steamed, dried and ground into a fine, vibrant green powder. Mulberry leaves have been widely consumed for centuries in Japan and continue to be used today for making a variety of hot and cold drinks as well as for cooking. Naturally caffeine free with a delicious mellow flavour, Clearspring Kuwa Matcha is very versatile. It can be enjoyed at any time of the day, in everything from lattes and smoothies to baking and desserts.

How to Use

For the perfect cup: Add 1/4 tsp (1g) of Kuwa Matcha powder to 70ml warm water and whisk well.

Kuwa Matcha Latte: Add 1 tsp of Kuwa Matcha powder to 2 tbsp of hot water in a cup and whisk well. Pour warm plant milk of choice, stir and enjoy.

Kuwa (桑) is Japanese for mulberry and Matcha (抹茶) is Japanese for powdered tea. Just like traditional Matcha, Kuwa Matcha is a vibrant green, finely ground powder. Instead of tea leaves, it is made using mulberry leaves and unlike green tea Matcha, it is naturally caffeine free.

Clearspring Organic Japanese Kuwa Matcha is made using the finest quality organic and sustainably grown mulberry leaves that are grown in Kagoshima, Japan, where volcanic soils and humid climates make for ideal growing conditions. Once harvested the leaves are steamed, dried and ground into a fine powder which is just as versatile and delicious as traditional Matcha.

Kuwa Matcha has a delicious, balanced flavour that is less astringent than the taste associated with green teas and Matcha powder. It is the perfect zero-caffeine alternative if you enjoy the taste of Matcha, but wish to reduce or avoid caffeine.

I really didn't know what to expect, but am extremely surprised as to how similar this is to the caffeinated Matcha that I know and love! Great purchase, will certainly be ordering regularly.

Love this! Very expensive though

Lovely taste and also caffeine free. I'm addicted. The issue is the price. There's little product in the bag, so a bag doesn't last more than a few days. I wish it was more affordable as I love it so much 😋

Its a different drink to matcha

It’s a nice tasting drink but it doesn’t taste like matcha enough for me. I’m happy to have an alternative to caffeinated matcha but I so enjoy matcha that it doesn’t substitute it for me.
