Hojicha Latte
The perfect afternoon latte starts with Hojicha powder. Hojicha is a Japanese roasted green tea with a nutty flavour and a wonderfully roasted aroma. It's comforting smell and smooth taste are what invites you to want to make it again and again.
Use Hojicha powder like Matcha - simply whisk with hot water and enjoy it with your favourite plant milk. Unlike Matcha, you don’t need to worry about using boiling water as the tea leaves are roasted, it won’t burn the flavour like Matcha.
Feel free to experiment with the ratio of Hojicha powder to plant milk. Some days you may prefer a stronger or weaker latte.
Ingredients
- ½ tsp / 2g Clearspring Hojicha Powder
- 2 tbsp / 30ml warm water
- 1 tsp sweetener of choice (optional)
- 300ml plant milk
Method

Whisk Clearspring Hojicha Powder with warm water in a Matcha bowl. Whisk until the Hojicha Powder is frothy and lump-free.

Add a sweetener and mix with a spoon.
- Heat up your plant milk in a steamer or milk frother.
- Pour the whisked Hojicha into a mug. Pour warm milk and top with foam. Stir and enjoy.
