This is not just another coconut water, King Coco is in a league of its own. It is made from mature, eight month old organic orange King Coconuts native to Sri Lanka (cocos nucifera var. aurantiaca) which are grown purely for the delicious water they contain. This maturity gives Clearspring King Coco water a smooth, mild slightly sweet flavour without acidity and each bottle contains the liquid of at least one coconut.
Single Origin:King Coco is made from King Coconuts which are only grown in the Tropical Island of Sri Lanka while green coconuts are grown in lots of countries across the globe. This means that King coco is a single origin product while other brands might be using blended raw materials.
Sole purpose:The King coconut is used exclusively for its juice as it does not have a husk, while the green coconut has multiple uses, including the use of its flesh in food products and its husk for matting. This means that there are no conflicts of interest between the potential uses of coconut by-products: for the king coconut it is about the juice and nothing but the juice.
Age:King Coco is made from mature, eight month old organic bright orange large King Coconuts. Most other coconut waters come from unripe green coconuts which are harvested when they are just 3 – 4 months old and this is done to prevent more of the water turning into coconut flesh as it grows. Unfortunately this also means that the husk is not mature enough to use and there is very little flesh to harvest which does not make this a very sustainable or productive use of these coconuts.

Perfect for drinking after sport, while travelling, the morning after a late night or on a hot day when you are dehydrated. Refresh yourself and drink it straight out of the bottle chilled or at room temperature or add it to your smoothie. So don’t forget to put it in your gym bag, travel bag or back pack: ‘enjoy the great taste of good food’.
Unfortunately I was not a fan but my mum liked it, I would advise you buy one to try first as it very different to the refrigerated kind you can find at Tesco or Aldi which I personally prefer, that said there is nothing wrong with it at all just not to my tastes.
When you first drink this, you notice the smooth as silk texture. It has a very slight floral taste, a little sweet, plus a very slight fragrant wood taste, from the coconuts shell. (Dont expect a white coconut flesh taste). I tend to drink it from being stored in a cupboard. As its not chilled on the tree!(I think refrigeration spoils it.. So if from the fridge, let it warm to room temperature.) With Vitamin C and Potassium, its a good drink to add to one of my ClearSpring snacks. 'Healthy'..
I am sorry I didn't like the taste of King coconut water. Probably because it's been pasteurised. Would it not be better to sale the actual coconut rather than to put it in bottles?
Hi AnaB, thank you for your review. Sorry to hear you didn't like King Coco. All of our products require a long shelf life without refrigeration, therefore we are unable to offer a raw coconut water.
Which it was cheaper as its a once a year binge! Would drink 4 litres a day otherwise :grinning: great quick service too
