    Clearspring Gluten Free Organic Soya Mince (also known as Textured Vegetable Protein or TVP) is a quick cook vegetarian protein which can be used in a multitude of recipes instead of meat. Whole soya beans are simply cold pressed to remove their oil content then steamed under pressure to form chunks and finally dried. With a tender yet substantial texture it is extremely versatile and will take on the flavour of whatever dish you are cooking.

  • To rehydrate: Add soya mince/chunks/medallions to boiling water or stock and soak for 10 minutes. Drain and squeeze out excess water. Then use in any recipe in place of mince/chunks/medallions.

It's a 2 edge sword

Had this as chili yesterday and within 2 hours felt I'd been poisoned. It's over 24 hours later and still feel very fragile. Will not be buying again.

Great product, excellent value

Finally found a plain soya mince with a nice small grain. Very little soaking and cooking needed. This makes it really easy to use. Great value for money too. Highly recommended.

Best vegan mince out there

I bought a bag initially from Ocado and as per other reviews, it reminds me of old school veggie mince from the 80s. So I’ve bought in bulk this time from Clearspring. I rehydrate mine in a vegan beef oxo cube and teaspoon of marmite before adding to chilli etc. Cracking product, great texture & takes on other flavours very well.
