Wakame sea vegetable has been known and adored in Japan for a long time, forming a part of the food culture and traditions of the country. Filled with illustrations and recipes, it makes a perfect gift.
Wakame gift of the sea
Wakame is a truly versatile sea vegetable. Typical in Japanese cuisine, seen floating on a bowl of miso soup or as part of a seaweed and cucumber salad, it is also very tasty in Western recipes. Use it in place of spinach or herbs to give your dishes extra nutrition, flavour and a fantastic colour. Here at Clearspring, we stock two kinds of wakame : long fronds, or Instant Wakame Flakes, which are so easy to use.
