Hello and welcome to our July newsletter. With the summer now in full swing many of you will be enjoying picnics and summer barbecues, so we've selected some great recipes to help you make the most of the sunshine. Also this month we are proud to be launching two fantastic new organic oils to our cold pressed oil range - Rapeseed and Olive-Flax - perfect for those summer salads. Read more about them below. New Clearspring oils

This month we are introducing two new additions to our cold pressed oil range. With the renewed interest in rapeseed oil as a culinary oil, we have launched one of the first certified organic rapeseed oils on the market. Rapeseed oil has one of the lowest saturated fat contents of any cooking oil and an abundance of Omega acids. Its flavour is slightly sweet and nutty - try drizzling it over a bowl of Carrot Curry Soup or in a salad dressing. Our other new oil – Clearspring Organic Olive-Flax - is a special, functional blend which is high in antioxidants and Omega 3. It has a smooth, peppery taste - ideal for pastas and salad dishes – why not add it to Cucumber Pasta Salad for a more punchy flavour. We are also re-launching our whole cold pressed oil range with some stunning new packaging. It will be hitting the shops very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!



Clearspring Tamaki Sake

With its 2000 year tradition, sake making really is a form of art. Akita Seishu - the producers of Clearspring Tamaki Sake - take great pride in using traditional methods to produce this award winning drink. Their sake brewery is nestled in the mountains of Akita in Japan, which supply the soft water necessary to Tamaki Sake's smooth yet full-bodied flavour. Read more.



Glorious Glossary

We at Clearspring know how difficult it can be to remember exactly what all the products and terminology in the natural food world are, so, we've decided to introduce a glossary to our website. We hope this makes it even easier for you to understand and enjoy our products. It’s still early days, so, we will continue to expand and improve it over time - if you have any suggestions about items you would like us to add or any pertinent text to add to exisiting definitions, do let us know. Give it a try.



Clearspring at the Allergy Show

Many thanks to all of you who made it along to our stand at the Allergy show on the 13 and the 14 of June at London Olympia. It was a great opportunity for us to help raise awareness about food allergy and intolerance - an issue that we take very seriously at Clearspring. We also had a chance to showcase some of our products, including Clearspring Organic Tamari, which is wheat and gluten free.
